The handbook was produced to train retail staff on Games Workshop’s organisational policies and procedures. It included the "40 commandements" to follow in order to maximise sales.
Employer: Games WorkshopDespite a modest budget, which contrained it to be printed in black and white on A4 (paper) and ring bound, the design leveraged its complex indexing requirements, and used bold typographic choices, to make it visually interesting.
Repitition, lists and visual guides were used to re-iterate important points.
Pull outs quotes and different typographic layouts for repetitative, helped to re-enforce and highlight.
Such an important, large employee document required collaboration with human resources, sales, and leadership. What might have otherwise become a dry piece of on-boarding literature, the handbook, with its unique design became an important go-to across retail staff and management.
